Evolution of Online Education: Infographic

Online education saw explosive enrollment growth in the 21st century, but distance learning is nothing new.  From classes conducted via the postal system in the 1700s to televised courses in the 1950s, innovative educators have always found new ways to bring their classes to students far and wide. The growth of distance learning hasn’t been without its pitfalls, however, and education regulation has sometimes struggled to keep pace with education technology.
